Public seminar series by and for Fine Art students and early career artists

This summer, Fine Art students are organising a series of workshops aimed at other budding artists wanting to develop their knowledge of professional practice. While there are no formulas for being a 'professional artist', these workshops have been designed so that we can learn the essentials from invited speakers already working professionally in the arts outside of University.

Session 2: WORKING PROFESSIONALLY WITH ORGANISATIONS

This second session will try to outline some practical 'dos and don'ts' of working with a range of professional arts organisations, including those that are artist-led. On the agenda: how to approach a gallery and how to make effective proposals.

Speakers include: local curators and gallerists, representatives from local art collectives.
