Art Historian Ben Read and Jolyon Drury talk about the work of Alfred Drury RA.

Art historian Ben Read will be joined by Jolyon Drury, grandson of Alfred Drury, for this evening of questions and discussion on the life and work of Alfred Drury RA (1856 - 1944). Looking at his artistic output and his prominence at the turn of the 20th century, Read and Drury will consider the subsequent fall in recognition of this once significant sculptor, whilst also providing enlightening contextual information about Drury's contemporaries and his patrons.

Refreshments will be available from 6pm in Parkinson Court. The talk will begin at 6.30pm.

 

Tickets are required for this event. These are priced at £3 (or £2 for FUAM members) and can be purchased from the gallery desk or through our online shop. Places are limited so please do book in advance.
