Online payments terms and conditions

1. Applicable terms and conditions

1.1. Leeds University Library will accept payment from its online payments webpage subject to the following terms and conditions. You will be deemed to be bound by these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. Any queries should be directed to librarycharges@leeds.ac.uk

2. Price and description of charges

2.1. The amount and description of payments to be made will be in accordance with the written description provided in your library record to which you can login from the Library website.

2.2. Leeds University Library reserves the right to change both the amount and description of charges from time to time.

2.3. The University will not be bound where there is an obvious mistake as to charges or description.

3. Payment

3.1. Payment must be made following the payment processes provided on the Library website.

3.2. Your payment, if accepted, will be confirmed by a Leeds University Library email acknowledgement. If you have received an email acknowledgement the Library will be deemed to have accepted your payment.

3.3. Once your payment has been accepted Leeds University Library cannot guarantee that your borrowing rights will be restored if you have overdue and/or recalled items outstanding on your library record.

4. Refund policy

4.1. Leeds University Library will only make a refund where payment has been made for more than the amount due.

5. Use of the online payments website

5.1. The University does not give any warranties that the operation of this website will continue uninterrupted and without any defects.

5.2. You must use the website responsibly and in accordance with the University's conditions of use.

6. Events beyond our control

6.1. The University will not be held liable for any event beyond its reasonable control. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.

7. Intellectual property rights

7.1. Leeds University Library online payments website remains the property of the University of Leeds.

7.2. The name the University of Leeds and its logo are registered trademarks of the University of Leeds.

8. Your account

8.2. We will only retain credit card/debit card details for the duration of completing individual transactions including any refunds due.

8.3. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information you provide relating to your payment details is accurate and up to date.

9. Data protection

9.1. The information you provide to make payment will be used by the University to process the payments of charges on your Library record.

9.2. If you make payment by credit/debit card the University will use a secure third party provider, WPM Education, to process your payment.

9.3. Certain information you provide will automatically be recorded by WPM Education. See WPM Education's privacy policy for further details.

10. Third party links

10.1. On the online payments webpages there may be third party links. The University does not accept any liability in relation to those links.

11. Complaints

11.1. If you have any concerns relating to the making of payments or these terms and conditions please contact librarycharges@leeds.ac.uk

12. General

12.1. The University of Leeds address is Leeds, LS2 9JT.

12.2. This Agreement contains the entire understanding of the parties relating to the payment of Leeds University Library charges.

12.3. If the University temporarily does not enforce its rights under this Agreement it reserves the right to enforce those rights at a later date.

12.4. This Agreement remains subject to English law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
