Library support for the Research Excellence Framework (REF)

The Library is contributing to the University's REF 2014 submission in the following ways:

• Checking and validating REF submissions listed in the Symplectic Publications Database
• Checking the validity of supporting references included in impact case studies
• Obtaining hard copies of the above material that isn't available electronically 
• Gathering evidence for impact case studies
• Providing access to the Scopus database which researchers can use to analyse citation counts and calculate the H-index of an author or research group

Scopus is the sole bibliometric provider for the REF
