Libraries are closed down in stages. Please check the closing arrangements as this affects how long you can work in specific areas. There is a short bell ring, or an announcement, at the start of closing. Details appear after the opening times.

Closing arrangements

30 minutes before the advertised closing time, floors 1 and 2 of the Brotherton Main Building close.

15 minutes before the advertised closing time the West Building and the computer cluster close. In the last 15 minutes customers only have access to Floors 3 and 4 of the Main Building.

Closing arrangements

30 minutes before the advertised closing time, the level 8 group study room closes and staff start closing the library from Level 13, working down to level 9. 15 minutes before the advertised closing time the computer clusters close.
