Returning items

You can return items to the Laidlaw while the library is open using the automated book slots near the lifts or at the Hillary Place entrance. When the library is closed, please use the ground level returns slot on Hillary Place.

Edward Boyle items can be returned via the automated book return slot to the right of the exit gates in the library entrance.

You can return items at the Brotherton Library and Health Sciences Library using the self service machines.

You can also drop items in the book return box in the foyer of the Brotherton Library when the library is open.

At the Health Sciences Library you can drop items in the book return box outside the library entrance.

Postal returns

If you are unable to visit campus, you can return items by freepost using the Royal Mail tracked returns service. Fill in your details and include Library as the department name to create your label. You can print your label at home and then drop your parcel at a Post Office or parcel postbox

if you don’t have access to a printer, you can receive a QR code which you can then take, along with your parcel, to a Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Point where they can print a label for you.
