Comprises (1) publications of the press: 'Clinical Notes' by John Wilkinson, the first publication of the press in an edition of 1000 copies in 1980 (3 copies); 'Comeuppance' by Geoffrey Ward, published in an edition of 1000 copies in 1980 (3 copies); 'Proud Flesh' by John Wilkinson, published in 1986 by Delires and Equofinality (3 copies); a signed copy of 'Berlin Return' by John James, published in 1983 by Delires, Ferry Press and Grosseteste Press; 'The Cenozoic Asylum' by Christopher Dewdney, published in an edition of 450 copies in 1983 (3 copies); (2) 'Equofinality', no.3 (1986) edited by Rod Mengham and John Wilkinson, and published by Equofinality (3 copies); (3) different stages of illustration for Delires publications, including pencil sketches, charcoal and pen designs, and negatives used for photolithography by various artists such as Adrian Emberley, Ian Barraclough and Christopher Dewdney; (4) typescripts, book covers, and proofs including corrections for the publications;

Biography or history
Delires was a small press operated by Lynette Hunter and Geoff Ward in Liverpool in the 1980s. It was established to publish high quality modern poetry and prose, with strong emphasis on design and illustration by new artists. The press was launched with publications by two poets connected with Cambridge, John Wilkinson and Geoff Ward.
