Whether you can stay for ten minutes or the full three hours, the free Gallery Sketch Club is open to everyone and all materials will be provided.

Each week, we will have a different 'Friday Focus' so you can pull up a stool and enjoy looking at works you may never have noticed before.

Use your time to hone your sketching skills, chat with fellow art appreciators or simply indulge your creativity in a calm, inspiring atmosphere.

No need to book in advance. Just turn up and draw!

This week's Sketch Club is part of Love Arts Festival. The festival includes a programme of great events which celebrate creativity and mental well-being in Leeds.

Discover the legacy left by John Marshall, founder of the flax spinning industry in Leeds, and step into our Marshall Mill inspired textile installation. Led by local artist Alice Clayden help to develop a unique piece of art work which will link together the wonderful communities of Leeds using innovative fabric construction techniques.

Light Night Leeds is an annual free multi-arts and light festival which takes over Leeds City Centre on two nights in early October.

October's Tuesday Treasure travels near and far as we showcase a range of maps from Special Collections. Drop into the Treasures Gallery between 12noon and 2pm to see maps made and used for a variety of functions, from books to help the 17th century traveller to fictional literary lands and fascinating studies of language.
