This is an event open only to Staff and Students of the University of Leeds. A public event offering further information about art on campus will be scheduled later in the summer of 2015.  

Professor Ann Sumner invites you to join us and to discover more about forthcoming plans for Public Art at The University of Leeds this summer. This afternoon of lively debate and discussion will cover the following areas and will be followed by a panel discussion:

With a welcome by Stella Butler, University Librarian and Keeper of the Brotherton Collection and Presentation by Ann Sumner, Public Art Project Officer

  • Curating the Campus - themes and ideas for public art interventions for the next 5 - 6 years
  • Future commissioning - engaging campus communities - how staff and students can be embedded in the future commissioning process
  • Public Programming - inter-disciplinary responses - suggestions for innovative cross disciplinary working across campus
  • Promoting Public Art - ideas for engaging with new audiences beyond the campus

This is a free workshop but places are limited.
