Virtual FUAM Graduate Art Prize Exhibition 2020
- Until: Wednesday 30 June 2021
- Location: Online Exhibition
- Cost: Free
Virtual prize show for recent Art and Design graduates of the University of Leeds, recognising the creativity and excellence of our students.
While The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery is working on plans to safely re-open to everyone, you can still enjoy the freshest talent from Leeds’ budding art scene from home.
The annual FUAM Graduate Art Prize is going virtual! Now in its eighth year, the prize and exhibition, supported by the Friends of University Art & Music (FUAM), rewards the artistic excellence of students completing BA studies in Art and Design and Fine Art at the University of Leeds in 2020.
Visit the online exhibition to view the four finalists’ work.
The 2020 finalists are:
T'Shah Henry (BA Art and Design)
Emma Lawrence (BA Art and Design)
Sasha Napoli (BA Fine Art)
Poppy Jones-Little (BA Fine Art)
The finalists were selected by an expert panel of judges following submissions from recent graduates of the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies and School of Design at the University of Leeds.
The judging panel comprises Professor Alison Fell (Director of the Leeds Arts and Humanities Research Institute), Jane Bhoyroo (Producer, Yorkshire Sculpture International) and Helen Watson (Director, The Tetley – maternity leave).
The judges returned in October 2020 to choose the overall winner of the FUAM Graduate Art Prize 2020, which was announced alongside the People's Choice Vote winner:
The overall FUAM 2020 winner is T'Shah Henry.
The FUAM 2020 People's Choice Vote winner is Sasha Napoli.
