Footsteps Into Art Exhibition

A weekly changing exhibition, showcasing work created by pupils from five local schools, as part of the Footsteps Into Art project.

11 July - 27 August 2016

Commencing the week of 11th July, and running through until 27th August, The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery will be showcasing work from five local primary schools, as part of the Footsteps into Art project.

Footsteps into Art is an exciting new project to introduce primary level pupils to fine art practices in a gallery setting. Over the past year pupils have been working hard to learn new art skills and create interesting and unique pieces of art, all drawing inspiration from the University Art Collection here at The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery.

The changing exhibition will focus each week on work from each of the five participating schools, with the exception of the two weeks beginning 1st August which will bring together work from all five schools for an overview of the project. This week will also culminate in a Celebration Event on Saturday 13th August, where pupils and their families are invited to take in the work over refreshments, as well as participating in some fun activities.
