This "summer" the Gallery is thinking wistfully of warmer climes - holidays abroad, where the weather is fine.

Many British artists represented in the collection have captured vistas abroad, and in this Education Room display, we look (enviously) at their artistic responses to being away from home.

The display examines what authors such as Evelyn Waugh and Graham Greene and artists like Robert Kitson were inspired by on their travels abroad.

Artwork by David Lewis, Eric Taylor and RH Kitson features alongside materials from Special Collections.
