Rare manuscript treasures on display to celebrate the annual International Medieval Congress held at the University of Leeds

1 July - 31 July 2013

Special display showcasing medieval illuminated manuscripts collected by Lord Brotherton of Wakefield (1856-1930). The exhibition presents exceptional examples of manuscript painting from France, Netherlands, Italy and Germany focusing on pleasure, which is the central theme of the Leeds International Medieval Congress this year (1 - 4 July 2013).

The exhibition anticipates Katja Monier's forthcoming publication Illuminated Manuscripts Collected by Lord Brotherton of Wakefield.
