Prize-winning works in the International Bookbinding Competion, run by the Society of Bookbinders, alongside treasures of bookbinding from the University Library Special Collections.

7 September -14 October 2013

The Society of Bookbinders has run the Competition since 1999 in conjunction with its biennial conference. Books may be entered in five categories: fine binding, case binding, complete book, restoration and historic binding. This year's competition received 92 entries, by both professsional and amateur bookbinders, from 16 different countries.

The 15 prize-winning books are all featured in this Education Room display, alongside selected items from Special Collections, notable for their bindings, including the Kelmscott Chaucer.
