Employability: further support

The following Services are all available at the University of Leeds:

  • Leeds for Life
The website is a one-stop shop of information, and includes a database of opportunities offered by schools, faculties and external organisations. Opportunities include volunteering or becoming a University ambassador
  • Careers Centre
Help with making career plans and identifying the best ways to achieve your aims. The work-experience unit at the Careers Centre is one of the first points of contact for information about internships and industrial placements
  • Leeds University Union (including Joblink)
Plenty of opportunities to help students develop their employability skills, for example by joining student societies or becoming a student representative. Joblink, the campus job centre, has an online database of full- and part-time jobs and internships
  • Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies
Get involved in enterprise initiatives. Take part in placements or networking opportunities, find out information about setting up your own business or enrol on modules that will help you develop key employability skills
  • Study Abroad office
The Study Abroad scheme is a fantastic way to see things from different perspectives and move out of your comfort zone. You will meet new people and develop skills including independence and cultural awareness
  • Student Opportunities and Employability
Part of the Student Education Service website, this is a good central space for information across the University about the opportunities available to enhance employability and work-related skills.
