Hi Marek, can you explain your idea? We’d love to know more.
The Leeds Library Linc app is a student connectivity platform designed to enhance the university experience. 

Key features include Study Group postings based on location and topic, a Notice Board for real-time updates (like printer or maintenance alerts) and a Time Tracker to monitor time spent within the University libraries. It also offers a Wellbeing section for mental health support. Most notably, the Skill Share feature enables peer-to-peer tutoring; highly rated students can build professional profiles to bolster their CVs and secure future tutoring opportunities.

An app for students is a great idea! Where did your inspiration come from?
I am driven by the belief that educational tools should keep pace with modern technology. I envisioned an app that optimises the student experience. By turning the library into a digital hub, we can provide students with the convenience and connectivity they need to succeed in a fast-moving academic environment. 

Why is this topic important to you and to students?
This platform fills essential gaps in the current educational landscape by fostering student connectivity and convenience. It provides a dedicated space for students to navigate academic challenges and socialise more effectively. 

By incorporating the Skill Share feature, the app also offers a unique solution for professional development, allowing students to document their skills and prove their competency to employers in a novel way.

Edward Boyle Library as it’s open 24 hours. It’s right by the University Union and I always end up seeing someone I recognise there.
