Exam support from the Library
See the full package of exam services including 24/7 opening from 30 April
We have extended our opening hours and booked additional study spaces throughout the exam period to help you complete assignments and revise for exams. We've also got some useful revision and exams tips and techniques to help you perform at your best.
24 hour opening
When the Laidlaw Library opens its doors at 8am on Monday 30 April, it will remain open non-stop until midnight on Friday 1 June.
Both the Edward Boyle and Health Sciences libraries have extended opening hours during the exams period. Edward Boyle opens every day until midnight from 30 April – 1 June. The Health Sciences Library opens every day until midnight until Friday 29 June.
Check the Library opening times for other libraries on campus and for opening hours after the exam period.
The Library can get very busy at exam time, so if you intend to leave your study space unattended for more than 30 minutes, please take your belongings with you so that someone else can use the space.
If you're studying late, you can use Leeds University Union services to get you home safely. The LUU Nightbus costs only £1, and emergency arrangements are in place with Amber Taxis.
Cafés and computers
Looking for a computer? Check the IT Computer Cluster availability to see where computers are free. If you don't know where the clusters are, check the list of clusters or the cluster map for directions.
Café Seven outside the Health Sciences Library, The Edit Room in the Edward Boyle Library and Caffè Nero in the Laidlaw Library will have extended opening hours for the exam period.
Extra pop-up revision space
All training and meeting rooms in the libraries will be opened up for extra individual study space during the exam period.
We have also made extra revision rooms available in 11-14 Blenheim Terrace between 14–25 May and 30–31 May.
Blenheim Terrace is open from 9am–6pm Monday to Fridays, but will be closed during the bank holiday on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 May.

Web chat and tweet for help
If it's too noisy in a Silent Study area, or there's a problem with a printer or the temperature is uncomfortable – whatever the issue – you can use the web chat on the library website from 9am–5pm to get in touch with a staff member who will do their best to help you.
With a new tip, trick or technique a day, follow @UoLLibrary for encouragement and advice during revision and exam periods.
#JustAsk @UoLLibrary with questions, suggestions or comments on any Library-related topic on weekdays, and we will reply and do our best to help.
SCONUL and local college restrictions
SCONUL and local college access is restricted during exam times. Only University of Leeds staff and students can use library facilities from Monday 30 April to Saturday 2 June.
