Spirit of collaboration for all!

We're proud to be launching The Library Partnership, setting out what you - as a customer (staff, student or external customer), can expect from the Library, and what the Library expects of you in return. We've followed the template used by the University and Leeds University Union (LUU) for The Partnership.

Jane Saunders, Head of Customer Services in the Library explains:
"Students and staff all play a part in making the Library the great resource for study that it is, and the partnership agreement makes this explicit."

The Library Partnership was developed through consultation with staff and student representatives, ensuring that all perspectives were incorporated.

Stella Butler, University Librarian emphasises the collaborative spirit of the agreement: "Relationships with students are key both to the effective delivery of our services and to their development."

We hope that the Partnership will provide the foundation for us to work even more closely with our customers to continuously improve our services - something to which Alice Smart (LUU Education Officer) is committed:

"Having a partnership agreement between students and the library makes it clear that the needs and expectations of students are a key priority for the library team.  I look forward to working in partnership with the Library over the course of this year to make positive changes for students."
