The decades following the Second World War saw a flowering of poetry at the University of Leeds, with some of the most important British poets of the twentieth century working and studying at the here.  

Join Emily Timms as she explores the centrality of remembrance and commemoration to the poetry of Tony Harrison, Geoffrey Hill and Jon Silkin amongst others, using manuscripts from the University's extensive literary archives.  

The Leeds Town Hall "one object, one hour" lunchtime talks, focus on items held in Special Collections. Events are free, but please book to reserve your place.
