Step up to Masters
Our award-winning Step up to Masters resource has been designed to support you throughout your Masters. Get support with the transition to postgraduate study, improve your pro-active learning skills and develop your academic voice.
You can also take advantage of the workshop programme to help you prepare for studying at Masters level.
The Step Up to Masters workshops will take place online at 12:10–12:55 on the following dates:
- Developing confidence – Monday 18 January
- Academic reading – Tuesday 19 January
- Maths and statistics strategies – Wednesday 20 January
- Working in groups – Thursday 21 January
- Academic voice – Friday 22 January
Register your interest in the sessions that suit you, we’ll send you details of how to join nearer the date.
Library and skills essential sessions
Ask any questions you have about the Library in on our Zoom drop-in sessions taking place from Monday 18 January.
This is your chance to meet some of the team and ask us anything – no matter how big or small. If you need to know about accessing books for study, support available for you, study space, our Covid safety measures or anything else, just ask and we will answer live.
If you can’t make any of the drop-in sessions, you can always contact us via email or webchat and we will answer your question.
Academic skills support
There is a range of online support available to help you to develop academic skills such as essay writing, critical thinking and maths and statistics – you can book onto online workshops, one-to-one appointments or consult our learning resources at any time.
