Find out what will change as a result of your feedback, and congratulations to our prize draw winners.

Thank you! We received over 200 responses to our survey about the new library catalogue, with a large number of people volunteering to help with one-to-one user testing.

Overall, feedback was extremely positive, with lots of comments on how easy the new Search@Library is to use. You told us that there are several ways we can improve the search to make it easier and quicker to find the information you need.

Over the coming weeks we will make changes to Search@Library based on what you told us.  This includes:
  • only full text items will be shown in the initial search results (there will be an option to add in results from beyond the Library's holdings)
  • the advanced search will be easier to find
  • options will be added to the Library website to allow the results to be limited to only books or only articles before hitting "search"
  • "Library Locations" will be nearer the top of the list of filter options.

Prize Draw winners

The draw for the £50 vouchers took place on Monday 2 June. The two lucky winners are Lois Nuttall (undergraduate, Faculty of Education, Social Sciences and Law) and Agnieszka Laponska (research postgraduate, Faculty of Environment). Congratulations!

Launch date

The new Search@Library will launch on Monday 23 June. If you have further comments, or any questions please contact us.
