Books in the Brotherton Room of Special Collections

During this week Special Collections will close to make some important improvements.

During the week of 24-28 August, the Brotherton Room and Special Collections reading room will close whilst we work on some important projects.

Staff will be working in store areas, reorganising collections and undertaking preservation activities. This will make the retrieval of collections more efficient and prioritise collection processing work.

We will re-open after the bank holiday on Wednesday 2 September.

Our music exhibition: Music, Musicians and Manuscripts will be available to view in the Special Collections foyer. The exhibition coincides with the Leeds International Piano Competition and begins on Monday 24 August.

We are sorry if any inconvenience is caused by this temporary closure. We will continue to answer enquiries as normal.
