Library quickstart guide

If you're new on campus, find out how to make the most of our services and facilities.

For all new students

Library Quickstart contains all the information you'll need as a new student. You'll discover how to:
  • use Search@Library to locate online resources such as ebooks, databases, journals and articles for your studies
  • find items on your reading lists
  • borrow and renew items from our libraries 
  • manage your Library record
  • make the most of our workshops, webinars and 1-1 support.

For postgraduates 

Skills for Success is designed to help students develop further the academic skills you need for taught postgraduate study, and introduces you to the wide range of academic skills support that is available from the Library. Students who are new to studying at a UK institution may find the resource of particular benefit. It covers:
