Library chat icon for trial service

Got a question? Ask us through the "Chat now" icon on the website 11am-3pm every weekday

We are trying out a new web chat service to answer your enquiries online in real time. It will be available from 11am-3pm every weekday as we experiment with the technology and staffing.

There is a new Chat icon in the right hand menu on the Library webpages that appears when a member of library staff is available to chat. You can ask questions in the pop-up box on the website and get an answer in real-time.

Whether you want some help to use Search@Library, to locate a reading list or simply report that a printer is jammed on level 2 of the Laidlaw Library, when the Chat icon is there, give it a go to get a quick answer.

The usual ways of getting in touch still remain:

All feedback on the web chat service is gratefully received. Please let us know what you think.
