Gallery displays art from five Leeds primary schools

Art made by local primary school children is now on display in The Stanley and Audrey Burton Gallery.

The exhibition is part of the University's Footsteps into Art project. It will run from 11 July to 27 August.

Footsteps into Art introduces primary level pupils to fine art practices in a gallery setting.

This year, pupils learned new art skills, creating interesting and unique pieces of art. Their work draws inspiration from the University Art Collection, held at The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery.

The display will change every week to spotlight work from the five participating schools. For two weeks at the beginning of August, work from all five schools will be on display.

On 13 August there will be a Celebration Event for pupils and families. There will be refreshments and fun activities.
