Six five-minute stories of objects from the past

Need a break from studying? Time to spare between lectures?

Come along to the Treasures Gallery in the Parkinson Building and spend five minutes engrossed in an object's story. Learn about its history and how it relates to your everyday life. Dive in to one of these six tales:
  • Travel en route with an escapee from a First World War prisoner of war camp
  • Discover the imaginary childhood world of the Bront√ęs
  • Compare your cooking style to a 16th century cookbook
  • Be inspired by Ivan Bunin's literary Nobel Prize
  • Learn about the artisan traditions preserved by William Morris and the Kelmscott press
  • Investigate if a work attributed to Shakespeare is the real deal
Take 5 is a collaboration between students of MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies, and curators from the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery.

The free cards are available to collect from the entrance of Treasures Gallery.
