Closure dates, returning books, digital resources

All of the libraries will be closed from Friday 23 December until Tuesday 3 January.

Borrowing and returning books

It is very important that you check to see if any of your books have been requested and need to be returned. You can find out by:

If your books are not returned by the due date, you will be charged fines of £2.50 per item per day for each day the Library is open that they are not returned. More information about fines

You can return books in person by taking them to any library on campus, or you can return them by post. More information about returning and renewing books

Digital resources

All digital resources will remain online during the closed period.

Other places to study

If you need a place to study, or want to use resources from another University, there are many other libraries that you are able to use.

In response to high student demand, exam period midnight opening in the libraries begins from 3 January. Laidlaw Library will be open 24/7 from 9 January.
