Building will be open, but noisy

Maintenance will be taking place in the Brotherton Library for six weeks, starting from Monday 17 July.

This is so essential work can be done on the ventilation ducts beneath the floor in the Reading Room.

Unfortunately large fans are used for this work and they will create a significant amount of noise. Visitors may therefore find it an unsuitable study space.

Other areas, such as the West Building and lower floors will be less affected by the noise and you can use these study spaces.

Other libraries on campus will be open as normal during this period and can be used by all library members.
