Inter-library loan changes from August

From Tuesday 1 August, the Library will be increasing the charges of document supply inter-library loans.

The Library has previously subsidised the costs of inter library loans. However due to budgetary pressures it is no longer possible to offer this subsidy; and from August all items will cost £10. This reflects the cost of obtaining the item from the British Library or other institution.

A new payment process for staff will mean that they are able to pay these charges via an internal cost code if their department authorises them to do it. The process for students and other customers will remain the same.
