Description

Song written in pen and ink. There are notes in pencil on the verso and an alternative final verse. The song was inspired by the writings of Richard Rolle of Hampole, a hermit. It was sung to the tune of 'Are You the O'Reilly Who Keeps This Hotel?' and was published in 'Songs for the Philologists' (1936).
