Description

Collections of material originating from and relating to each individual school, department, etc. (the earliest material being the records of the Leeds School of Medicine, formed in 1831). All departments are represented, but to greatly varying extents, ranging from a single box in some cases to over one hundred boxes (22 linear metres) in another instance. There is a wide variety of content, but most items relate to the administration, teaching and research carried on in departments.

System of arrangement

The material is arranged by Faculty (Arts; Economic & Social Studies; Law; Education; Science; Engineering; Medicine) and then within each Faculty section alphabetically by departmental name.
