Description

Letters, papers and printed documents of Henry Illingworth in connection with a survey of the worsted industry in northern France conducted by himself and John Venimore Godwin on behalf of the Joint Tariff Committee of Yorkshire Chambers of Commerce in October 1876.

Biography or history

Henry Illingworth was President of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce in 1882-1883 and died in September 1895.

Provenance

It seems that the papers came into the possession of William Bunting Crump and thence to the Library, though exactly when these transfers took place is now uncertain.
