My dear Sir,

John Brown wishes
to know whether the payment
due for the monument will be
most acceptable this week, as, if
so he can get it from the parties
before Saturday and give it into their
your hands.

They had not the required sum
in the house or he would have
received it to day.

The Tablet has ⟨fully⟩ satisfied all
who have seen it.

As to my own affairs I only
wish I could see one gleam of
light amid their gloom.

You I hope are well and cheerful.
Yours sincerely
P.B.Bronte
