Beyond bricks and mortar: Introduction to Digital Special Collections

Discover the world of digital collections.

In this workshop you will learn about how the University of Leeds Special Collections digitise their collections. You will also find out what is made available to the public, and how we are looking to the future.

The University of Leeds Special Collections holds rare books, archives and manuscripts from around the world. These can be viewed on-site at the Research Centre in the Brotherton Library.

But what if you aren't in Leeds?

To increase digital access an ongoing programme of digitisation is underway to open up collections so people can discover the content beyond bricks and mortar.

This event is part of the Leeds Digital Festival, University of Leeds Showcase
