Celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Treasures of the Brotherton with us
From Shakespeare’s First Folio to the Women’s Aid archives, Treasures of the Brotherton is the place to encounter the extraordinary Cultural Collections cared for by the University of Leeds. Over the years, we've co-curated exhibitions with academics, artists, communities, students and volunteers. Free and open to all, it is a space for celebrating different voices and bringing new research to different audiences.
Join us as we look back at a decade of exhibitions that have showcased stories from the University’s Cultural Collections. From journeying with Shifting Borders to the campaigns of Animated Activism. The changing fashions of Part of the Furniture and our love for Shakespeare in Yorkshire. Curators past and present will reflect on the exhibitions that have inspired thousands of visitors, through thought-provoking research and world-class collections.
This special event will also be a chance to find out about future projects. You'll get to hear about the highly anticipated Quite Shameless: Cultural Reflections on the Vampire. Together we'll look at new opportunities for collaboration. And we'll explore how to tell stories using our collections in creative and engaging ways.
We also invite partners and future collaborators to join the discussion. What might Treasures of the Brotherton look like over the next ten years?
Free, booking required. Lunch provided.
