Light Night Leeds: Creatures of the Night
- Date: Thursday 29 October 2026, 18:00 – 21:30
- Location: Treasures of the Brotherton
- Cost: Free. Drop-in activity
An evening of otherworldly, nocturnal and Gothic piano music exploring vampires, creatures of the night and the supernatural.
Embrace the mysterious and discover what stirs after darkness falls.
Experience this relaxed, immersive performance by Keano Ritchie and Cleve Freckleton however you choose – reclining on a bean bag, sitting, standing, wandering through the space or dancing – as light and music [from three pianists with contrasting musical styles] swirl around you.
The performances are inspired by the nearby exhibition Quite Shameless: Cultural Reflections on the Vampire in Treasures of the Brotherton. The exhibition will also be open during Light Night Leeds, closing at 9pm each evening.
Produced by the Cultural Institute, University of Leeds and Leeds International Piano Competition.
