Fairy photography challenge: Being Human 2021

Cameras at the ready!

Are you ready for a magical photo challenge? Get your cameras ready, and join in on Instagram.

Just over one hundred years ago Sir Arthur Conan Doyle published the Cottingley fairies photographs in The Strand Magazine. Our exhibition The Cottingley Fairies: A Study in Deception explores the story of the fake fairy photographs and what happened after their publication.

Your challenge, if you choose to accept it, is to create your own photos inspired by the exhibition. Tag us @LULGalleries and use the hashtag #BeingHuman2021 so we can share your fantastical creations!

Need more inspiration? Check out our Instagram for themes and more information.
