Exhibition Tour and Storyboarding with SASHA

Join SASHA Society as they take over Treasures of the Brotherton for a special edition of Sip and Social!

*This is a student-led event, with bookings administered by SASHA through LUU Engage*

Enjoy a student tour with one of the curators of the Animated Activism: Women Empowered exhibition. We will then unwind with some collage and storyboarding - all materials provided.

Whether you are familiar with SASHA Society or Treasures of the Brotherton, this is a great opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the exhibition, to chat with like-minded peers, and to create and relax in a safe space.

Refreshments will also be provided alongside SASHA’s support resources. Please bring your own reusable cup for hot drinks!

SASHA (Students Against Sexual Harassment and Assault) Society, LUU, are an organisation at the University of Leeds set up in 2021. Their aim is to dismantle the culture of sexual violence on and off campus, through education, support and reform. The group emphasises offering support to all, recognising that anyone can be a survivor, including reforming the systems of support available at university.

Their campaigns, such as the recent launch of their animated character ‘Sasha’ (they/them), create change and raise awareness of current social issues. They organise talks, workshops and protests, and host socials and activities for members to get to know each other and have a chat!
