Stitch Club

Drop-in to Stitch Club! Take time out to create and chat with others while practicing your sewing skills.

Inspired by our new exhibition In Touch, with Nature, you are invited to contribute to a collaborative embroidered artwork.

“Sewing this work brought the women together, around one artwork, even those who have never sewn before. It made us feel like we have known each other for ages. It opened chats about families, motherhood and memories from back home. The idea was to have the full embroidery completed but then we decided to have other groups drop in and share stories while they work. We’re aiming for them to see the therapeutic effects of sewing but also the way it creates a welcoming space to share languages, cultures, skills and laughter.”  – Ranya Abdulateef

We welcome you to enjoy the restorative process/practice of stitching with others. Meet new people, revive your sewing skills, or try something new.

All materials will be provided. No need to book in advance – just turn up and sew!
