History, Imagination, Art and Culture: Student Welcome to Leeds University Library Galleries

New to the University of Leeds? The Leeds University Library Galleries team would love to meet you!

Starting out on your University of Leeds adventure and want to discover some of what the Leeds University Library Galleries have to offer? Discover some of the wonders we have to offer at our exclusive and interactive event just for new students. Join us to explore our spaces and take a sneaky look at what is coming up this Autumn.

But who are Leeds University Library Galleries? We are lucky enough to have two Galleries at the heart of the University of Leeds campus. In The Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery we show off our most beautiful, unique and intriguing artworks, like works from British painter Alan Davie. The Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery is a calming oasis filled with treasures from our Special Collections, including original material from the famous Brontë family and a Babylonian clay tablet that is over 2500 years old!

You can also uncover some of the ways that you can become part of our Galleries’ community throughout your time at Leeds.

Although virtual – there will be plenty of ways for you to get involved in this interactive event.

Hope to see you there!
