CANCELLED - Get Creative: Creative Phenology

Join artist Rebecca Chesney for this workshop to create a phenology diary and learn about creatively recording seasonal changes in nature.

In the first of a number of events at the Galleries on the theme of climate change, we are delighted to welcome artist Rebecca Chesney. Referencing items from the collection and showing examples of her own work, Rebecca will show you how to make a simple nature diary for you to make recordings as we move through the seasons. Keeping a diary of the seasonal changes in nature gives us vital insights into our changing climate.

Rebecca Chesney is a Preston based artist whose work encompasses installation, video, drawing, maps and walks. She is concerned with humans' relationship with the land and our influence and impact on nature and the environment. She has undertaken commissions and residencies for many organisations including Yorkshire Sculpture Park, the Brontë Parsonage Museum, Grizedale Arts and a Peak residency in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales.
