New Medieval Treasures in Special Collections

As part of the International Medieval Congress 2023, join us for a drop-in session to see medieval treasures from Special Collections.

Special Collections staff will be in the Treasures of the Brotherton Gallery Monday 3 July, Tuesday 4 July and Wednesday 5 July, with a selection of highlights from the collections for delegates to examine up close.

This year we are excited to share five newly acquired medieval manuscripts and a rare incunabulum with conference delegates, alongside some of our other holdings.

These medieval treasures are the subject of ongoing cataloguing and research activity, and we look forward to displaying them in our gallery for the first time.

The International Medieval Congress is organised and administered by the Institute for Medieval Studies. Since it began in 1994, the Congress has established itself as an annual event attracting medievalists from all over the world. It is the largest conference of its kind in Europe.

This event is free and open to all.
