13th in a group of thirteen individual manuscripts (BC MS 19c Brontë/02/02/10 - 22) mostly written about the imaginary kingdom of Angria.

Note dated 15/11/1925 by C W Harrison reads:

'MS fragment, 1/2 sheet of 2pp. Date uncertain. The event is supposed to have taken place before any of the occurences described in this series of Angrian pieces, but the subject is one to which Branwell Bronte frequently returned - especially in verse - Probably this piece was written 1834 - 5'.

The ff are numbered 15 and 16 in red ink in a later hand.

Provenance

Part of the original Brotherton Collection. These manuscripts were originally kept together in a volume titled 'Patrick Branwell Brontë Manuscripts' with the bookplate of Lord Brotherton. Manuscripts were originally kept with early 20th century typescript transcriptions, which have since been rehoused.
