Single page torn from notebook. Recto begins with one stanza of four lines titled 'When First old Time with me shook hands'. 'Blackwoods Magazine' is written about the stanza. Remainder of recto and verso contain various notes.


Part of a group of manuscripts (BC MS 19c Brontë/02/02/27 - 32) written whilst working as station master at Luddenden Foot.


Label written by C W Harrison (c.1925) & kept with the manuscript gives the following information:


'Seven leaves (14 pp) from Note-book, chiefly used by P B B Brontë during the time that he was clerk in charge of the railway station at Luddenden Foot next Halifax 1841/1842.

Note: The leaves are arranged in the order in which they appeared before removal from the note-book. The remaining leaves are still in the original cover and are now with the Brontë Museum'.
