Description
Decoration: 20 full-page miniatures within full architectural borders in gilt. The lower border includes the incipit for each liturgical text. 24 smaller miniatures, as well as 12 Calendar miniatures for the occupations of the months and 12 small miniatures for the signs of the zodiac in the outer margins within borders of flowers and foliage. 1-2-line initials in gold on blue and dark red grounds throughout.
Written in bâtarde.

19th-century (?) binding of blue velvet and gilt edges.
Provenance
Probably originated in Bourges. In the Calendar miniature on f. 5, Gemini is depicted behind a shield bearing the arms of the Bouer family of Berry (vert a cross argent between 4 oxheads or), supposedly the first owners. A 16th-century inscription on f. 1r relates the manuscript to one Marie de Cumières. In the 18th century the manuscript was in the collection of the well-known book-lover Jean-Baptiste-Denis Guyon de Sardière (d. 1759) whose inscription 'des liures de mr guyon de sardiere' is on ff. 1r and 140v.
