On the recto of the second leaf are the impressions of two feet in early red ink manuscript. At the head of the leaf, also in red ink manuscript, are written the words: Vestigia Saluatoris. IN the top right of the same page, an indistinct inscription in early black ink manuscript.

Bindings
Late fifteenth-century binding of full dark brown calf over wooden boards, rebacked. The upper and lower covers are blind-tooled with an identical pattern comprising a border of double fillets and a frame of triple fillets containing a repeating pattern of lozenges with flowers inside. The central panel is made up of diagonal triple fillets containing larger lozenge-shaped ornaments of stylised foliage. There is evidence of two clasps, with nails remaining in the upper and lower boards. The book has protective edge guards nailed to the head and tail corners of the board edges. The newer spine is of pale brown calf with four raised bands. In the second panel is a pared dark brown leather lettering piece on which are gold-tooled the words: Astexanus - Summa de casibus Nuremberge 1482. Written in ink manuscript on the fore-edge are the words: Summa Astexana. Watermark on the first leaf with a pot with single handle and quatrefoil. Watermark on the second leaf with a circle surmounted with
a staff and cross. Size: 350 x 238mm. Leaf size: 335 x 224mm.
