Biography or history
This photograph forms part of a series of photographs, film, and sound recordings made by IDFLS staff on an outing to see sheep washing at Thornton Rust. Stewart Sanderson, Stanley Ellis, Ingemar Liman and Werner Kissling were all present on this trip, which saw the revival of the custom of sheep washing in Outgang Beck for the first time since 1935.
