Ropemaker, Mr. T. G. Outhwaite, winding up twisted cotton warp threads from the rope walk at his workshop, Hawes ( Wensleydale). Mounted on Photo File card with LAVC/PHO/P1258 and LAVC/PHO/P1259. With typed note. Card 10 in a series of 13.

Established in 1905, Outhwaite's the ropemakers still exists in Hawes. It now operates as W. R. Outhwaite & Son (http://www.ropemakers.com/).
