Bindings
Late fifteenth-century limp vellum binding with overlapping sides. The quires are sewn onto cords and the sewing supports laced into the vellum cover. There are the remains of a tie closure. Written directly onto the spine in black ink manuscript are the words: Dialigos [sic] de Santa Cather[i]na de Si[e]na. Size: 165 x 130mm. Leaf size: 154 x 105mm
Provenance
Small black and white armorial bookplate of Sir Edward Allen Brotherton on the front pastedown. The book was most likely acquired before 17 June 1929 when Brotherton was created Baron Brotherton of Wakefield.
