Holdings from Bolton Women's Liberation Group 1970-2010. Contains minute books, scrap books, newsletters, pamphlets, correspondence with other WL groups, town councillors, civil servants and National Heritage Lottery Fund. Contains 17 oral history interviews, artifacts, photos and a DVD. Thirty page catalogue of holdings availabe to view at FAN.

Biography or history

Bolton Women’s Liberation Group began in the late 1960s, with ; records until …. The Group’s operations were typical of those of cities and large towns without universities of the time, depending upon collaborative action, and working with women from diverse parts of the community. Bolton Women’s Group is rare, in that the vast majority of records created by the organisation were kept, thus provided a rare record of women’s liberation group activities of the period.
